Maïté Roux is a chief librarian. From 2013 to 2017, Roux worked at the Clermont Ferrand University Library (France), first as deputy manager and then as head manager of the Science and Technology Library. Since October 2017, Maïté has worked at the Bibliographic Agency for Higher Education (ABES), located in Montpellier (France). She is the head of the PhD Theses Service which coordinates the national PhD theses deposit in France. They develop and maintain the softwares STEP (Ongoing theses referencing) and STAR (Electronic theses archiving and referencing) and the search engine theses.fr, which is the public catalog for all the PhD theses ongoing or defended in France since 1985. They also maintain the TEF (French Electronic Theses) format, used to describe the French PhD theses.
