Ameneiha (Amina) Itani began her library career in 1990 where she spent fifteen years working with the Australian Government on library automation projects in areas that were intensively research based. The other half of her career was in consultancy-sales roles in the publisher-vendor space starting with Thomson Reuters, then eLearning with Open Universities Australia promoting and developing online courses for the corporate and academic sector in the ANZ region.

In 2016, Amina pursued a career with EBSCO Australia as Regional Account Service Manager covering a portfolio of a hundred Australian and New Zealand Libraries providing best practice advice in Electronic Resource Management Systems, Workflow, Data Usage and Analytics.  In October 2019, Amina moved from Australia to assume the role as an E Resources, Content, Scholarly Communications Expert with UAEU (United Arab Emirates University) Libraries Deanship and has been involved in strategic projects with Library system implementations like OCLC, Digital Commons institutional repository and the Pure research information system. Amina has a Bachelor’s of Mass Communication and Information Management, Lebanese University.  A Graduate degree in Information and Knowledge Management, Edith Cowan University, Australia and is a Professional Associate Member of (ALIA) Australian Library and Information/ ALA – Association American Library Professional Member equivalent and also a board member with NDLTD – Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations.
