Elsabé Olivier has 24 years’ experience in the academic library environment and is currently appointed as Assistant Director at the Department of Library Services at the University of Pretoria South Africa, where she is responsible for marketing and quality assurance. Between the periods 2007 and 2012 she was the Open Scholarship Manager at this institution which entailed managing UPeTD, the electronic theses and dissertations repository and openUP, the collection of full text research articles published by UP staff which is housed in UPSpace, their digital research repository. She has been actively involved in advocating for Open access nationally and internationally. She is a Board member of NDLTD (Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations).
