Lou Haines is the Manager of Graduate Student Services at Miami University with a graduate student population of approximately 3,000 students. Prior to coming to Miami in 2006, Lou was a legal assistant for a large Ohio law firm for 35 years. Lou is also the Director of Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Services at Miami, and oversees the management of each thesis or dissertation that is written and published by our students. She is on the Board of Directors for the USETDA (United States Electronic Thesis and Dissertation Association) and is very active in promoting the 3MT® (Three Minute Thesis®) in Ohio and nationwide.
