Lighton Phiri is a Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Library and Information Science (http://lis.unza.zm) at the University of Zambia (https://www.unza.zm). He was awarded a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Cape Town, where he was affiliated with the Digital Libraries Laboratory (http://dl.cs.uct.ac.za). His broad research interests lie within the areas of Computer Science Education, Digital Libraries, Technology-Enhanced Learning and Data Mining.
In the most recent past, Lighton contributed towards the development of the ETD Portal software (https://github.com/lightonphiri/etdportal), which is currently used to host the NDLTD Union Catalog (http://union.ndltd.org/portal).
