STEP 1: CHOOSE AN APPROPRIATE MEMBERSHIP TYPE

There are three paid membership types: Individual, Institutional, and Consortium.

Individual Membership:
For anyone interested in supporting the goals of the NDLTD. Annual dues: $25.

Institution Membership:
For a single degree-granting institution or a supporting organization, such as a library, involved in disseminating and archiving ETDs. Annual dues: $300.

(Please register at least two contacts per institution.  The primary contact should be the person processing payments.)

Developing Nations Institution Membership:
For a single degree-granting institution or a supporting organization, such as a library, involved in disseminating and archiving ETDs from a country not categorized under Very High or High Human Development in the most recent United Nations Human Development Report.  Annual dues: $100.  Subject to approval from the NDLTD Board of Directors, annual dues may be waived for some organizations in developing nations.

Before applying for a Developing Nations Institution Membership, please verify your country’s status in the most recent United Nations Human Development Report.  To qualify for this type of membership, the country must NOT be categorized under Very High or High Human Development.

Consortium Membership:
For multi-campus university systems or other institutional networks that want to offer an NDLTD Institutional Membership as a benefit to their own members.

The annual membership dues for a consortium are $300 plus $150 per member of the consortium.  For example, a consortium of ten libraries would pay: $300 + 10 x $150 = $1800.

To apply for a Consortium Membership, please e-mail your contact information, the name of the consortium, and a list of all institutional members of your consortium to the Membership Administrator.

Developing Nations Consortium Membership:
For multi-campus university systems or other institutional networks from a country not categorized under Very High or High Human Development in the most recent United Nations Human Development Report that want to offer NDLTD Institutional Membership as a benefit to their own members.

The annual membership dues for a developing nations consortium are $100 plus $50 per member of the consortium. For example, a consortium of ten libraries would pay: $100 + 10 x $50 = $600.

To apply for a Developing Nations Consortium Membership, please e-mail your contact information, the name of the consortium, and a list of all institutional members of your consortium to the Membership Administrator.

STEP 2: JOIN NDLTD

Registration and payment are processed through our membership-management provider.

You will have the opportunity to choose your preferred payment method: credit card (VISA, Master Card, Discover, or American Express), check, or international money order. Payment by check or money order results in significant delays and increases NDLTD’s administrative costs. With the credit-card option, your membership will be activated instantly.
As part of the registration process, you will have the opportunity to generate a PDF invoice. Please temporarily disable any active pop-up blocker in your browser if you need an invoice.
